Solus Sing for Special

Solus, A Christain Choir have chosen Special as their chosen Christmas charity in 2009 & 2010, rasing over £600.00. We cannot thank them enough, their singing at Ocean Terminal was amazing! The money the have raised will make a huge difference to our families. We wish our friends at Solus all the best for 2011.

All of the group are active Christians in churches of Christ around Scotland, particularly East Kilbride, Edinburgh and Kirkcaldy.

SOLUS is the Gaelic word for "light".

Solus began singing in 1992, being comprised originally of two couples who wanted to sing together (their first public performance was in Kirkcaldy). Since that time the group has grown to its present composition of approximately 12 voices. Specialising in sacred acappella music, they have performed everything from contemporary gospel to classical choral works, including several of their own compositions and arrangements. They have released their first CD. They have sung throughout Scotland and parts of England, and have also visited Ireland (both the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland).'
